I had the distinct pleasure of watching the Mighty Ants play in the Oley Valley Girls Basketball tournament this weekend. I watched the Ants play hard in both games. I watched a group of girls who never gave up regardless of what the scoreboard said. I was impressed by the Ants desire and determination. It was obvious to me that they have the hearts of champions. The girls showed enthusiasm and seemed to have a genuine joy to be playing the game. They were smiling and supporting each other throughout the tournament. I was also impressed with the enthusiasm and positivity of the coaching staff. If you looked only at the scoreboard, one may think that the Ants lost both games. In my mind nothing could be further from the truth. The girls on that team are winners and winning can be defined by more than just numbers on a scoreboard.
